Mars Mignon is an artist of many trades. From attempting to conduct the women's gospel choir his mother was in whilst still in diapers, to serving as director and composing arrangements for his high school acapella group, to recording and producing his own albums since 2018, Mars has been molded by music his entire life.

As a songwriter, he has drawn comparisons to Jason Mraz, Ed Sheeran, and Noah Gundersen: an explosive performer with a clear pop sensibility, with influences of blues, folk, and rock seamlessly woven into his work. In September 2025, he went on his first nationwide tour opening for Naethan Apollo.

Mars graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Acting and a minor in Musical Theatre, where he worked with acclaimed music director Dominick Amendum (Wicked, Heathers, First Date, The Prince Of Egypt) to refine his vocal performance technique, paired with his theory. Roles he has played include “Gabe” in Next To Normal (Haywood Arts Regional Theatre), “Nachum/Yussel” in Fiddler On The Roof (Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre) “Patchy” in The Spongebob Musical (UNCG), and “Theo” in Pippin (UNCG).

Mars recently moved up to Jersey from Asheville, North Carolina, where he cultivated his love for performance art. When he is not writing, performing or teaching, he is probably finding a new sci-fi hyperfixation. He also has a deep love of food and cooking, considering himself a pasta connoisseur.
